Suggest Treatment For Severe Itching And Pain In The Vagina
My vagina has been itching tremendously lately, for about a week or so. It began with a sore pain at my vagina. I thought this was simply related to my period, using tampons and all that. My period for the past two months has been particularly strange, barely bled if at all. There is no swelling nor discharge, actually it s particularly dry and I don t want to go see a doctor. I m a virgin and have never had anyone touching me at all down there so I don t know how to stop this. Any suggestions?
Hello and welcome to HCM, Severe itching and dryness in the vagina can be due to fungal infection. Fungal infection is associated with severe itching, white colored discharge and soreness. Since, you have mentioned that there is no vaginal discharge, the discharge cannot be examined. Use of tampons can lead to infections more often. A clinical assessment is required before prescription of any anti-microbial. Thus, I suggest you to consult your gynecologist for prescription of anti-fungal pessaries/ ointment as early as possible for prompt relief.
