Suggest Treatment For Severe Hip Pain

Hello I fell on my sidewalk five days ago landing on my left hip area. No bruising hurts to walk and when I sit down it feels like there is a knot or bulge by my left hip/buttock area. I can not sleep on that side now either. I am female and 55 years of age. Should I have an x-Ray ?

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Dear patient
Since you are able to walk after fall possibility of fracture is less likely. Mostly it's blunt trauma and you have sprained your left hip. I would advise Xray of left hip anteroposterior and lateral views to be sure. Give rest to hip and avoid weight bearing for 7 days. Take tab diclofenac plus serratiopeptidase combination twice a day for pain relief. Apply cold compress to reduce swelling. You wl be fine in 1 week.
