Suggest Treatment For Severe Ear Pain

Hi. I ve been having severe ear pain for over 2 years now. I had a tube put in and no relief. My ENT Doc says there is nothing else that can be done except go to my family doctor to refer me to a pain clinic. I ve tried chiropractic, home remedies, Advil, tylonol, drops and steroidal nasal spray. The pain is so bad it makes me want to cry. I scream in pain. What else can I do?

Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Read and understood your history of such a severe pain in the ear that no medication and therapies are helping you and making you cry in spite of tube put in, ENT consultation, nasal steroid spray and so on.
I would advise you the following and explain on the way.
When the pain is so severe that makes you cry, the most probable chances are of neurological in origin.
This is most probably Trigeminal neuralgia.
MRI of the brain and the ears and for trigeminal nerve.
Medicaine like Gabapentin, amytriptyline or mazetol can help[ but need to be prescribed by a Doctor. The best way would be to consult a Neurologist for clinical evaluation, examination and treatment.
I find this answer helpful
