Hi Dear ,

As per your query you have severe pain and you also had problem of allergic rhinitis . Well the symptoms you mention in query are indicating infection of upper respiratory track infection that has spread to ear through eustachian tube . Sometimes when upper respiratory track infection when left untreated or when occur again and again spread to ear through eustachaian tube and causing pain . I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist for proper diagnosis . Doctor may order throat swab test , viral culture test and allergy test to confirm the diagnosis . Doctor may prescribe antibiotics ( amoxicillin or penicillin .) at least for 10 days along with decongestant and anti inflammatory . For now do warm saline gargles , take steam twice a day and apply warm dry compresses to external ear .

Hope your concern has been resolved.
