Suggest Treatment For Severe Dryness In The Mouth And Eyes

I have very dry mouth eyes and nasal passages. I also get impacted. I have increased my water and other fluids greatly. Now i also take fiber tabs and stool softeners and sometimes still get constipated or impacted. I use moisture eye drops at bedtime as well. I am getting an eye injection every 6-8 wks for wmd. Could that med be causing this?

I have gone through your query and can understand your concern...

As per your complain you are suffering from dry mouth and dry eyes and along with it there seems to be generalized reduction in secretions..
As far as injections for VMD are concerned they seems to cause dryness of eyes but generalized reduction in secretions with hallmark features of dry eyes and dry mouth are seen in case of a syndrome known as Sjogrens Syndrome..
You should consult a Rheumatologist and get evaluated..

As of now you can start supportive treatment like for dry mouth you can chew sugar free chewing gums as it stimulates saliva flow..
Artificial saliva agents known as Artificial Saliva Drops can be instilled in mouth many times a day for lubrication..
For dry eyes continue using artificial tear drops..
For dryness in nasal passage saline nasal sprays and steam inhalations and using a humidifier in your room can help.
Continue using stool softeners..

But for knowing the cause and getting long term relief complete evaluation is must..
