Suggest Treatment For Severe Diarrhea In An Infant

My granddaughter is 10 months old and we took her to the emergency room today with diarrhea. She has been drinking milk and they stopped an antibiotic which they think was causing the diarrhea. She has had at least 10 bowel movements that are watery with a yellow stool since about 4 pm. She seems to be in terrible pain and is inconsolable. Should we take her back to the ER or is this something that needs to take its course.

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, most of the diarrhea in this group is self limiting and hydration is the matter of concern, if the symptoms does not come around then infection need to be ruled out and for that you need to hospitalize the child, some time it may be protozoa infection, hope this information helps, take care and have a nice day.
I find this answer helpful
