Suggest Treatment For Severe Diarrhea, Dizziness And Lightheadedness

I have been having severe diarrhea for about 5 weeks. All my stool tests have been negative and blood chemistries show some dehydration. My dr. Put me on Questran and I am dizzy and light headed in the mornings. I have no energy and just don t feel well. What would you consider at this time. I am a nurse too.

* Still diagnostic dilemma is there , so you are having agony with this
* Needs further depth evaluation for the reason of the same with
another series of tests
* Questran has itself diarrhea as side effect , I would not agree with its
use in this scene unless strongly recommended on valid basis
* Guidelines for better outcome
# plenty of liquids preferably boiled water , coconut water , lemon
juice , butter milk etc
# soft light diet with preferable fresh curd at regular intervals
# avoid prolong fasting or over eating
# in our clinic we recommend antibiotics containing metronidazole,
proton pump inhibitors as Prolisec , pre , pro biotics , oral
rehydration salt for better early recovery
# refractory cases may require in house management in form of IV
treatments also
