Suggest Treatment For Severe Cough

Hi doc.... i am having cough from last 2 months initially it was cause of cold i took antibiotic and syrup. i got relief. but in last few days i am having diff type of cough like wen i go outside or cook smthng i start coughing that really feel like suffocation then i took water and it goes. the cough is without sputa. and it is not regular.

Hi,thank you for posting your query on health care magic.

Looking at your symptoms,you are suffering from irritative dry cough ,which occurs due to inflammation of the respiratory tract.

You may find relief by taking the following medication:
Cough suppressant like Dextromethorphan,
Antihistaminic like Loratidine,
Analgesic with Antiinflammatory like Ibuprofen,Antacid like Rantac.

Also do steam inhalation.Drink lots of warm fluid.Avoud dust and cold food.Warm tea with lemon and honey would also help.

After taking the above measures,if your symptoms are not improving,then it would be advisable to have a Chest X-ray and consult a Physician Doctor for chest auscultation.
