Suggest Treatment For Severe Cough During Pregnancy

Hi my name is varun . My wife is suffering cough from 10 days. She is pregnant for 5 month. Doctor told her to take cifixime 200 twice a day . After taking cifixime 200 for 2 days . The cough become more worse now she is facing breathing problem also. Please suggest me the appropriate solution?

Cefixime is an antibiotic used to treat infections. Finishing the course of antibiotics is very important. Do not stop in the middle of the course.
I would suggest you to consult your obstetrician if the breathing problem is severe or intolerable. Please do take the medications as prescribed only.
