Suggest Treatment For Severe Cough And Throat Pain

I have had an irritating cough on and off for a couple of years. More recently I m finding myself clearing my throat several times an hour and this then becomes sore. Sometimes I can cough violently causing sharp pains in the back of my neck and head, or wheezy coughs that are lengthened (exert all air) and hurt my chest. After exercise (I cycle), I end up coughing more and taste blood. I ve always had a quiet voice but more often recently I m finding people cannot hear me very well when I speak to them anywhere but a silent room. Please advise!

Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Read and understood your concerns.
It is suggestive of upper respiratory infection along with a component of allergy which keeps your problem persisting.
I could advise you the following:
Get a proper clinical evaluation from an ENT and Pulmonologist, get investigated to get a proper diagnosis and a plan for treatment
I find this answer helpful
