Hi

You are most likely reacting to the benzoyl peroxide.
certain types of skin are more sensitive to this treatment.

I suggest stopping the benzoyl peroxide.
If your acne persists after stopping benzoyl peroxide, consider a course of tetralysal oral tabs 150mg twice a day for a month and then reassess.
You can use a topical retinoid gel like epiduo with this treatment or differin gel ( adapalene gel).

Apply a mild steroid cream 0,1% hydrocortisone to the dry and discoloured areas at night for a week or so until the sensitivity resolves.

Drink plenty of water and adopt a healthy diet.

Hope this helps.
