Suggest Treatment For Severe Abdominal Pain And Diarrhea

My 32 year old son told me he had has had left lower quadrant abdominal pain for 3 day, He has had some diarrhea or soft stools for those 3 days. He reports that the pain was worse when he moved a certain way which made me think it may be muscular at first but but after a good and somewhat solid bowel movement the pain improved some. I thought it was muscular at first but now I m not sure if it s not intestinal.

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query your son have symptoms of severe abdominal pain and diarrhea which seems to be due to viral infection of body leading to acute gastroenteritis and electrolyte imbalance in body. Need not to worry. Give him banana on daily basis and light food. Avoid giving any sharp and spicy food. Drink plenty of fluids to rehydrate him. Visit general physician once and get it examined. You should take antiemetic like domperidone and ranitidine for gastritis. You should go for blood tests as well and start treatment after proper examination. You should start treatment with combination of fluoroquinolones and ornidazole. You should give Ibuprofen to your son along with proton pump inhibitors as well.
