Suggest Treatment For Severe Abdominal Pain And Constipation
Went in yesterday with severe abdominal pain. Did xrays, showed i was full of stool. Took 2 bottles of mag citrate and 2 dulcolax pills yesterday and didnt have a solid bowel movement. Talked to nurse today, told me to take 1/2 bottle of miralax with a 32 oz gatorade. Did that at 230pm and still havent had a bowel moevement. Have already missed work yesterday and today and dont know what else to do until i can call my de again tomorrow morning.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of severe abdominal pain and constipation . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query gastroenteritis, lactose intolerance, electrolyte imbalance, food poisoning, irritable bowel syndrome and crohn's disease.You should take diet rich in fibres and take plenty of fluids. I would suggest you to consult gastroenterologist for proper examination. Doctor may order stool test , ultrasound , endoscopy along with that take history. Doctor may prescribe laxative , ornidazole or albendazole along with ranitidine. Drinking warm water will be helpful.For now eat light and non spicy , avoid food like seafood and nuts , take antacid after every meal and keep your head elevated while lying down.
