My daughter was told she has sepcis from a urinary infection and went to the kidney and blood. She has very low blood pressure and has headaches....no rash, but emotionally not well either. She has left kidney not doing well and blood levels in 40 whatever that means? She has been given medicine and vein infusion of water and medicine...now what?

hi! what we do for patients with urosepsis (sepsis from uti) is to collect an specimen for urine culture and sensitivity prior to the start of an antibiotic treatment. then after an specimen is submitted we can start yhe antibiotic therapy while waiting for the result of the urine culture abd sensitivity.
