Suggest Treatment For Seizure And Fever In A 1 Year Old Baby

My son at the age of 1 had a severe seizure stopped breathing. They said it was fever induced. Was going to do a spinal tap and at the last minute finally bent down to listen to his brothers and sister. A few month later noticed he started doing strange things like staring off into another world. Curling his hands like a stroke victim. Twitching his head and doing something as above when bright flickering lights. Then he stopped walking for a while. Had to learn to walk and stand on his own again. I had a 48 hr test done on his brain waves and there was irregular brain patterns. But they didn t no why. He is now 14 and we have been concerned about constant movement, can t concentrate for long periods of time. Grades failing quickly in school. And still wetting bed at night. Can he have some kind of disorder from his seizure at age one that we have over looked for all these years?

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, such history and clinical condition really needs close observation for symptoms and right diagnosis is great matter of concern you have not mentioned anything about the diagnosis because it must be some diagnosis for the disease because it is almost years have been gone, it may not be febrile convulsion because it can not long last, it could be grand mal seizure, if this is so then it may need long term treatment and it could affect the IQ too hope this information helps.
I find this answer helpful
