Hi,

I understand your concern.

The swelling in your foot for one week, followed by bruising signs is suggestive of local trauma. However, I should have a look at your foot first before determining the right diagnosis. Please send a picture if you can.

If cannot send a picture, please consult further with your doctor as you might need prescription meds.

From what you are saying, I can advise as following for speedy recovery:
- keep your foot raised as long as you can to help blood drainage
- if signs of bruising are present, apply alternating cold and warm compresses to help disperse the blood
- if rash persist, then you might need prescription meds (erysipela or dermatitis to rule out by dermatologist)

Wish fast recovery.
