Suggest Treatment For Rheumatoid Arthritis

Four months ago I had a laminectomy and decompression on L-4 and 5 because of problems from spondylolesthesis. The disc at L-5/S-1 had desinigrated, L-5 had slipped forward and the bones had fused. My symptoms before surgery were aching across low back and a tired heavy feeIng in both legs. Now after surgery, I don t really have a problem with my left leg but my low back aches most of the time and I have almost constant pain around my right hip and down my right lower leg on the outer aspect of the tibia and across the top of my foot at ankle level. The doctor put me on gabapentin and I am getting PT with a little slow improvement, although I still cannot walk very far without sitting down to rest my leg. I can no longer tap dance or clog which are two of my favorite forms of exercise. Another thing to consider is I have rheumatoid arthritis which I think has some effect on this pain

hi
The medicines seem to be alright and it may take a few days more for nerve pains to lessen or go away.Yes, it is possible that if rheumatoid has been diagnosed and co-exists, may be a cause for hip or back pain.Your rheumatologist may assess the severity of rheumatoid and whether additional specific medications for rheumatoid be begun or if already prescribed need any modification in dose or change of medicine would be helpful.
Best wishes
