General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

In people with mild to moderate restless legs syndrome, lifestyle changes, such as beginning a regular exercise program, establishing regular sleep patterns, eliminating or decreasing the use of caffeine, alcohol, and tobacco, may be helpful.

Also, some home remedies that may help include:
•     Leg massages, hot baths or heating pads or ice packs applied to the legs, and good sleep habits
•     Medications may be helpful but are used only in severe cases and maybe Neupro, Requip, or benzodiazepines. Anticonvulsants or antiseizure drugs such as Tegretol, Lyrica, or Neurontin

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ivan R. Rommstein
