HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Irregular or delayed periods can have different causes such as: (a) polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS). This is a common cause, related to cysts on the ovaries and abnormal levels of different hormones

(b)emotional or physical stress or illness

(c)abnormal levels of thyroid hormone

(d)excess physical activity

(e)high levels of a hormone called prolactin

To find out the cause, you would need to consider seeing your doctor. Physical examination, blood tests and imaging such as ultrasound are needed for assessment.

Treatment would depend on the cause found.

I hope this helps
