Suggest Treatment For Redness And Scaly Skin On The Labia Minora

I have redness and chafing on just one side of my labia from gym clothes irritating. I recently took meds for bacterial vaginosis and was all good. I applied some hydrogen peroxide with a cotton pad and it seemed to help. What kind of nonfriction gel can I use to prevent this going forward? Will my k-y lubricant help with this?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello dear
Understand your concern
I think it is due to dermatitis due to pure hygiene and along with infection.

Other Causes are as follow.
1. Vaginal Yeast Infection , Fungal infection
2. Vulvovaginitis
3. Trichomonas Infection
4. Urethritis
5. Generalized Anxiety Disorder
6. Contact dermatitis

Treatment are as follow
1. Wash your vagina with this water twice a day for two to three days with warm water
2. Apply Apple cider vinegar: it has excellent antibacterial and antifungal properties
3. Salt Bath- Wash your vagina with concentrated salt water whenever you feel the itch. This will give you great relief instantly and prevent further multiplication of bacteria.
4. Antibacterial/fungal talcs: apply candid powder
5. Change your under wear after work out
6. Maintain hygiene after urination and sex
5. Keeping The Vagina Dry (Not wet, clean well)
6. Wear Loose Clothing
7. If not responds use clotrimazole or Hydro cortisone ointment
8. Use simple unperfumed shop. Liquid shop is better.

Hope this may help you.
Best regards
Dr. Sagar
