Suggest Treatment For Redness And Painful Swelling Of Navel Piercing After Injury
Hi I got my belly pierce since high school nothing happened. Long story short a friends dress rubbed onto on an accident and from that incident not to long ago from that happening it started to hurt and got red and probabaly irritated. And this never happen before. I do clean it now on a daily basis to help the redness, swelling alittle and the pain. Could it be the piercing that is irritating it?
As per your complain there is a possibility that due to getting traumatized there has been inflammation in the skin and soft tissues in the area of piercing and due to it there has been infection in the area leading to persistence of redness and irritation..
The first thing that you need to do is to gently remove the naval ring that you are wearing.. You should clean the area with an antiseptic solution and apply an ointment that is a combination of antibiotic and steroid.. You can also do cool compresses to reduce irritation.. Keep the area dry and clean.. Let it heal completely and then only you should wear the naval ring again..
Hope this helps..
Thanks and regards.
