Suggest Treatment For Red Spots On Uvula And Severe Bad Throat

ive had a severe bad throat for about 4 days now, enough to stick to soups. no coughs, no allergies, no anything, although i do have RA and fibromyalgia. Today I finally found a flashlight and looked in there. I have several blood red (one quite large) spots on my uvula in an otherwise irritated throat. is this something to be concerned about, or something that can be cured with salt water?

Hi,
Welcome to healthcare magic.
I had gone through your question. I can understand your concern.

The symptoms suggestive of upper respiratory infection. Nothing to worry you will be fine. Yes, salt water gargling can temporarily relieve a sore or scratchy throat.

I recommend the following.
1) A course of antibiotics.
2) Analgesics like tablet paracetamol for pain relief.
3) Salt water gargling. Add a pinch of salt to a glass of warm water.

You will be fine.

Hope I have answered your question. If you have any questions, I am happy to help you.

Wish you a good health and speedy recovery.
