Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concern..

As per your complain metallic taste in mouth along with inflamed tongue causing red spots and swelling seems to be due to side effect of the antibiotic [biaxin] and these are relatively common symptoms caused as a side effect of these medicines..
I would suggest you to do warm saline gargles, take tylenol if there is pain, gargle with 1:1 solution of milk of magnesia and benadryl and suck ice pops..
Take multivitamin supplements.
You can chew flavoured sugarfree chewing gums to mask the metallic taste and drink plenty of water...
Avoid spicy food..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
