Suggest Treatment For Red Bumps On Lower Arms And Elbows

for last 3 weeks, I have developed red bumps on lower part of both arms around the elbow. Started out with a couple, but noticed some more few days later.. Around elbow area, almost like pimples, but kind of itchy. Went to ER, dr said it could be a bug bite. Gave me prednisone and anibiotic. Took pills, somewhat clearing up but now done with pills, and notice it might be starting again, Can you advise what this may be?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Physical examination is required to diagnose your skin condition. It is better you consult a qualified dermatologist who can suggest you treatment other than steroids as starting of symtoms is common after stopping steroids.dermatologist can decide on antihistamines, local creams or ointments after physical examination only.along with medication you better maintain hygiene of your room and sorroundings as well as your body.better you wash all the bedsheets and towels with warm water and if others staying with you also have same symptoms better get treated all at the same time.
