Suggest Treatment For Recurring Sinus Infection

Why am I prone to getting serious sinus problems with the cpap -- three days of non-stopping runny nose, huge sneezes multiple times (as many as 10-12), not relieved with allergy medication since it is not an allergy but it is caused by the cpap. Why and what can I do?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Read your history and understood your concerns.
Yes, I do agree with you.
Since CPAP uses positive pressure and there is recirculation of the air and may be infection.
I would advise you the following:
Change all the tubing's of you machine to the new ones.
Talk to the technician so that the pressures can be adjusted.
CT scan of the sinuses to confirm the real diagnosis.
Treatment will be as per the clinical picture and findings on investigations.
