Suggest Treatment For Recurring Pimple Near Buttocks

On my right buttocks, what started out as a little pimple that I popped turned into a scab about 3/4 of an inch wide. It drained clear liquid and now is just a scab. It s been there for about 2 weeks. But a couple days after it appeared, more started showing up and I know how about seven scabs and bumps on both of my buttocks and around my butthole and they leak, burn, itch and hurt to sit on. Any ideas on what they are or what could help?

Dermatologist 's  Response
The possible diagnosis of the condition based on the description is furunculosis which is an infection of the hair follicle. It can be treated with topical antibacterial creams like mupirocin along with a oral antibiotic like azithromycin. Since you have recurrent lesions diabetes needs to be ruled out. Regards.
