Suggest Treatment For Recurring Pain In Lower Right Molar
Hi there, my question is I had a re-filling on a busted bottom right molar about 3 weeks ago. I have not been able to fully bite on that side because of the throbbing pain this causes when I try to chew on that side. After a while it kind of goes away but tonight, it just continues to get worse. I feel like since a big part of my molar was damaged and missing, maybe there is root damage or nerve damage? Please advise me.
As per your complain it seems that during filling when the cavity is prepared it must have exposed or opened up the nerves and blood vessels which are present in the central portion of the tooth in a small chamber known as Pulp Chamber.
If nerves are exposed and filling is done over it the nerves get inflammed leading to pain and it is the condition seems happening in your case.
I would suggest you to consult an ENDODONTIST and get an x ray of the tooth done to rule out the cause of pain and the endodontist will evaluate and provide you the appropriate treatment which can be root canal treatment if tooth can be saved and if cant saved you will have to get it removed.
It has to be followed by antibiotics and painkillers to relieve infection and pain..
Hope you get well soon..
Thanks and regards.. Dr.Honey Nandwani Arora.
