Suggest Treatment For Recurrent Vaginal Candidiasis

I have a recurrent vaginal vandidiasis and each time, my gyne gives me the same medication and it goes away. After few months again i have the same problem. I am not diabetic nor having any other health problems. Is there any way to avoid the infection to keep on happening? Is there anything I could take (aside from taking antibiotic) to help me in a longer term?

Hello,
I have gone through your query and understood the concern. For recurrent vaginal candidiasis, there are certain norms to be followed. Firstly, the drug sensitivity should be tested using swabs sent for culture tests. Secondly, the course of the treatment should be continued up to periodic courses as well extending up to six months to prevent recurrences. Precautions like avoidance of tampons, douching the vagina with strong soap solutions and having intercourse during the active stage of the infection should be taken. The male partner should also be treated if necessary. Take a healthy diet and maintain a healthy weight. Hope this helps.
