General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,
The normal course of poison ivy is that it takes about a week to fully come out on your skin then an other 2-3 weeks to go away. If a steroid course is shorter than 2-3 weeks it may then recur when the steroid is gone. I would just stay off the steroids and keep lotion on your skin. It will go away in another week or two.
Regards
