Suggest Treatment For Recurrent Psoriasis

I have psoriasis problem since ten years and it s coming very often. I used homeopathy medications for five years, but those are not working better. I consulted a dermatologist she first proscribed me Fougera Triamcinolone but it s also not worked well and she changed toBetamethasone Dipropionate. I stated it 8 months ago now it s also not working. I have black stains on my palms and sole. I am feeling etching. Pl. can you proscrib for me any medications. Now I am 61 years old. Thank you so much Mangavathi Sathi

General & Family Physician 's  Response

Hi there

You can try this mixture by applying it twice daily to the affected areas.
1) steroid based cream eg dermovate
2) Salicylic acid
3) coal tar solution
4) urea

You will have to visit your pharmacist to dose and mix the above in correct quantities.
Also try an antihistamine to alleviate the itchiness eg cetirizine 10mg at night

Hope this helps.
