Suggest Treatment For Rectal Inflammation After Using Vizylac

Hi, since two days I was having constipated diarrhea like condition. I felt urge to go to toilet again n again but to not use. I was recommended Vizylac capsules and Quintec OZ which has helped with the constipation like feeling but now I feel that I have inflammation in my rectum area which is preventing the passage of stool. As a result I am having only watery stool that too very little. Plz help what should I do. Should I keep continuing these medicines ?

Hello.
I have gone through your question and understand your concern. In my view, the inflammation sensation that you are feeling in your lower rectum is something more like burning sensation and discomfort. The possible cause for this is a small tear in the lower part of rectum due to passage of hard stool and straining due to constipation, which burns and give you a sense of discomfort every time you pass stool. The burning sensation and discomfort will subside as the tear heal, so don’t worry. Stop all the laxatives as you don’t need them in long run and you can take the medications only when you are constipated.
Try adding a fiber supplement (to add bulk to stool) in your daily routine before you sleep with increase in daily water consumption will help you with constipation. Sitz bath twice a day for few minutes will prevent any infection and also relieve pain. In Sitz bath you sit in a tub filled with warm water (add some Betadine liquid) enough to cover your bottom. You can easily do this in your own bath tub. Good luck. Hope your concern is answered. Thank You.
