Suggest Treatment For Rectal Discharge

I have a rectal discharge, my Dr.thinks it is a side effect from Ursodiol, so she cut the dosage, but it has been almost 3 weeks from the cut, still having the clear discharge and burning pain. I also have cramping with bowel movements and I am taking Imodium for diarrhea and mutipal bowel movement. This all started last Nov. What is it ,how can is it? And how can I stop it?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

It is possible that there may an infection present causing the discharge, pain and diarrhea.

A sample of the discharge and a stool sample should be sent to the lab for assessment to determine if this is the case.

A complete blood count and ESR would also give an indication if an infection is present.

Depending on the results, further testing may or may not be needed eg if the symptoms continue and the results are negative for infection then a scope of the intestine if one has not been done recently, would be needed.

I hope this helps
