Suggest Treatment For Rectal Bleeding, Hemorrhoids And Diarrhea

I had a colonoscopy and endoscopy last year due to rectal bleeding. Both of those were clear but I was told I had a small haemorrhoid. I continue to have rectal bleeding and frequent loose stools. When I bleed it seem to be quite a lot and turns the water in the toilet a dark red colour. I do not experience any pain during bowel motions. I had my gallbladder removed last year. Could this be what is causing the frequent loose stools? Would a small haemorrhoid cause so much bleeding?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello
You need not to worry it's not because of removal of gall bladder
Frequent loose stools might be related to either infection or food poisoning
In my opinion you should go for stool test for ova cyst or protozoa
You may require a course of antibiotics under supervision of your doctor

Hemorrhoids may cause extensive bleeding another possibility is rectal polyp

Please follow these guidelines
Have lots of fresh fruit vegetables and dietary fibers.
Avoid constipation by taking laxative or stool softeners like liquid paraffin
Sitz bath twice daily might help you by helping in better healing.
You should avoid alcohol and smoking as well as spicy fatty junk and fried food

Maintain good hygiene
If it persists or worsens than you should see a general surgeon or proctologist for surgery and definitive treatment

Hope this answers your question
Wish you good health
