Infectious Diseases Specialist, Dr. Praveen G's Response
Hello, Welcome to HCM,
As your daughter was bit by the rat for which your doctor has advised injection TT and antibiotics.
There is no need to take anti rabies vaccine as rat is not known to transmit rabies. The rat is not the reservoir of rabies vaccine.
So I suggest you to continue the treatment advised by your doctor and there is no need of anti rabies vaccine. Thank you.
