Suggest Treatment For Rashes On The Skin While On Decadron
What would be an appropriate Rx for Decadron for a patient with an allergic skin reaction to amoxicillin? She has not taken the amoxicillin for two days but she reports the rash is not improving and she is taking benadryl at closer intervals. She had only taken 2 500mg doses of amoxicillin before stopping Thank you

Advice
1. Never take amoxicillin in future as you are allergic to it. It can cause anaphylactic reaction which is a life threatening reaction
2. Take Decadron (dexamethasone) 0.5 mg twice daily per oral for 7 days
3. Stop Benadryl
4. Tablet levocetirizine 5 mg once daily per oral for 7 days
5. Apply calamine lotion locally thrice daily for soothing effect on rash
