I have a rash or something that is on the head of my penis and just under the head (where the shaft starts. I am circumcised. the rash is barely noticable most of the time but if I have sex or masterbate flares up and becomes bright red and shiny. at fist I also had exteme dry skin in the same area but that is not as bad now. I do not believe it is herpes or anything and it has not spread. I have had oral sex with the wife and she has shown no symtpons. I have had this now for a few months. Please advise
I can understand your concern for the rash on top of penis. After analyzing the query I can make out a possibility of rash occurring due to fungal infection or due to mild bacterial infection after improper hygienne. In your kind of cases I prefer to examine the area in person and then prescribe either give an anti-fungal cream such as clotrimazole or an antibacterial cream such as mupirocin. Do not try to do any home remedies as can cause aggravation of the problem rather than getting better. Wear cotton clothes and cotton undergarments to be changed two times. All the best.
