Suggest Treatment For Pus Filled Acne On Chin

i m 28 years old, weighing 50 kgs, and am 5'2" tall. I have always had a flawless complexion. but since i had e.coli infection of the intestine, in oct 2009, i have had a bad acne problem. though the rest of the face is better now, my chin has red, bumpy things, below the skin surface; and a heating-up (not burning) sensation. there are also some pus-filled, painful acne that keep erupting on the chin itself. plz help!!

Dermatologist 's  Response
Hello. Thanks for writing to us at healthcaremagic

You seem to have inflammatory acne lesions; painful and pustular lesions.
If I was the treating doctor I would have started you on an oral antibiotic e.g either Azithromycin Or Doxycycline Or Minocycline. I would have asked you to take these for 2-4 weeks initially and assess after that on future course depending on the response.
Topically I usually ask my patients of inflammatory acne to apply a topical antibacterial e.g Benzoyl peroxide, twice daily.
These are prescription drugs therefore, I would suggest that you seek an appointment with a dermatologist in your region for the needful.

Regards
