Suggest Treatment For Protein Albuminuria

Hi There,

I just had a health test and in my urine the results showed "protein albuminuria". I have done some research on what that is, and I think I get the gist of it, but it is still pretty complex. I am worried because I am in a foreign country teaching English and just arrived about 2-weeks ago. Is this something that I should take very seriously?? (Also when I took the urine test I was very dehydrated and jetlagged from the flight - could this facilitate these factors?)

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

Greg

Hi Greg, I would advise you repeat the test after a week and just to confirm also do a urine microalbuminuria test. Yes it could be a temporary phenomenon. But if it persists----
If you are not a Diabetic or hypertensive then we have to look for a condition called nephrotic syndrome. Firstly let us confirm after a week. Secondly let us see the level by doing urine microalbuminuria and then we can decide further action--regards and wish you the best.
