Suggest Treatment For Prolonged Sore Throat, Sneezing, Runny Nose And Body Ache

I am 73 years old man. For the last 4 days I have been having sore throat, heavy sneezing, running nose and body ache. Just yesterday and today I have been feeling very cold in the evening. I have been taking 2 paracetamol or Iebruefin and have to go to bed early. I do take Lipitor for cholesterol. I am getting lots of mucous and runny nose and sore throat with ticklish cough. What is wrong with me, please can you help? Kris

If I was your treating physician I would like to prescribe you Amoxicillin500mg by mouth twice daily for 7days. Plus, Claritin by mouth twice daily, plus a cough suppressant syrup, plus Ibuprofen800mg twice daily for 5days.
I would like a follow-up visit of such patients after 2 weeks.
