Suggest Treatment For Pressure On Head After A Head Injury
I play a sport and was diagnosed with a concussion tonight after being dropped on my head. I do not have a headache anymore and I am feeling a lot better. When I lay down to go to sleep, I get an extreme amount of pressure in my head. Is this okay? Should I sleep or seek medical attention?
I can understand your concern. The concussion is a mild type of head injury. The pressure in head while lying down could be due to head injury itself.
While lying down, venous return increases towards head due to gravity. It leads to more pressure in head. It is mild, but if you develop
: Vomiting : Severe headache : Your consciousness decreases
You must consult doctor asap. The doctor will advise CT head to rule out any bleed in brain or swelling. Further treatment will be decided after CT report. Hope it will help you.
Thanks. Take care
