Suggest Treatment For Polyp Growth In Vaginal Area

Hi I have some polyp type growth on the exterior of my vagina. He mention during the examination that this can be a result of a cancerous symptoms. He took a biopsy and called me. his comment was its not good and has referred me to a gynecologist. I have no pain but am worried, I am even too worried to have intercourse. Should I abstain?

You should not worry yet as the report has not Confirmed any thing.. I think you have a bartholin cyst not a polyp. Polyps originate in mucous membrane not in skin as you have written polyp in exterior of vagina.There is no restriction of having intercourse. Tfeatment, if i have to treat such a patient i will advice incision and drainage with a catheter left in as a drainage tube that is called Marsupilization or laser treatment. Antibiotics are not usefull.
