Suggest Treatment For Pitting Edema

I have stage 5 pitted edema. I feel fine but my mom wants me to go in to the E.R. The pharmacist who is a doctor says I should go into the E.R. My doctor just increased my Amlodipine to 20 mg. This has happened before and Dr. David L. Naylor, MD did not think there was anything wrong and sent me home.

Hi.
As per your case history of pitting edema, my treatment advice is -
1. Avoid standing for long periods of time and keep pillows below legs while sleeping.
2. Take a NSAID like ibuprofen for pain.
3. Other treatment options are magnesium sulphate plus glycerine dressing and oral diuretics given only after consulting a dermatologist or surgeon.

Thanks.
