Suggest Treatment For Phimosis

Hi doctor.....i have phimosis ( which i have understood from various internet postings). It wasn t there till i was 6-7 yrs but now i feel embarassed. I don t like having sex with my girlfriend. I found out that the condition is quite normal all over world with some simple solutions. Have found out the name of an ointment - Betamethasone 0.05%. Can you tell me the exact name of this cream by which it is selling in India and the manufacturers name as well. Regards Raj

Hello Raj,

Welcome to HCM
You have not mentioned your age, I presume you are a young man.
All boys are born with foreskin of the penis which some remove through circumcision. If the foreskin becomes very tight and cannot be drawn back over the head of the penis, it is phimosis. There are several causes to phimosis like congenital ( from birth) or due to fungal or other infections.
Applying Betamethasone without knowing the cause and correcting it, is not an advisable solution.
I would suggest you see a doctor and take proper treatment.
Take Care
