Hello, I am 34 years old and a smoker. I have leg pain that started behind my knee and is taken over my whole leg. I went to the urgent care last night and They did a D-Dimer result 1.46. They advised me to go to the ER i have a doppler study of the leg and the r/o DVT. I am not to sure that she looked properly for it. the pain in creeping up my leg to my pelvis.should i got back to the ER?
Hello, Your D dimer value is on the higher side. Since you are a smoker you also have higher risk of developing a DVT. It could also be a condition called TAO. In either case you will need an arterial and venous doppler of your leg. My advice would be to repeat a doppler. Hope this was helpful.
