Hi
Went through your post as you have mentioned that you are in 6th decade of life, with age the possibility of rise in blood pressure raises with each year, your blood pressure is not that bad to start BP lowering pills unless you are diabetic, I would suggest that that you dicrease your salt intake have healthy diet containing fresh fruits and vegetables and a brisk walk of 30-40 min 5 days a week, monitor your BP and come back after two weeks. Hope you are satisfied with answer.
