i am suffering from fever from 5days earlier the temp was scaling to 102 /103 but from the last two days it has been constant around 99/100.i have taken paracetamol only.today tiny rashes have popped out on my hands only. kindly guide me to the disease i m suffering from?
Hello and welcome to HCM, Fever with eruption of rash is suggestive of viral infection. You are infectious during eruption or rash and few days prior to that so you need to isolate yourself from others so as to avoid spreading of infection to others. A clinical assessment of the rash is required to determine the type of viral infection. The type of viral infection depends on the site of rash, its nature and character. In the meanwhile you can take paracetamol to reduce temperature. Cold sponging can also be used. Supportive therapy in the form of fluids to maintain hydration and nutritious food is required. I suggest you to consult your physician at the earliest.
Thanks and take care Dr Shailja Puri
