Suggest Treatment For Persistent Cough With Thick Mucus In Nasal Passage
Hello Doctor .. I m having cough for 3 weeks.but now it s okkk but I m getting thick mucus in my nasal passage.. Iv consulted two doctors, right now I m guided to use the clavum 625 tablet.most of all I m getting fever past 2 days.wht should I go with?? R u predicting any harm from this..
Hi, I really appreciate your concern about the problem. As a physician, I would like to tell you that the antibiotic Clavum625 prescribed to you is perfect for your condition. Take the full course of the antibiotic and as the infection subsides, the problem with thick mucus will go away. Meanwhile I would also like to suggest to to Gargle 2 times a day with Lukewarm saltwater, avoid Cold beverages and take OTC drugs for fever like Paracetamil. Avoid them if they are already included in prescription with Clavum 625. But if you feel that fever is rising, heavy heartbeats, nausea and crackling sounds in chest while breathing I would suggest you to contact your physician then for further checkup. Hope I have answered your question satisfactorily. Have a speedy recovery. Feel free to ask any further questions. Have a nice day.
Regards, Dr.Abhijeet
