HI I am a 35 year old female. My height is 1.69, weight is 107kg. I have been suffering from a post nasal drip for more than a week. This lead to a cough which is quite persistant, hence it sounds dry but there s little bits of phlegm sitting on my chest making me to cough to bring it out. I have taken Borstel, Phensydal, Prednisone, and also honey with lemon and cinnamon. I am miserable of coughing continuously, please help. TIA

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,
Thanks for the concern. You have persistent cough with little phlegm since long time. You should take cough expectorant syrup and also start antibiotics which will reduce your infection under the guidance of your treating physician. At home you can take one spoon of turmeric powder with little sugar for taste in night before going to sleep . this might help you in cough. Take care
