Suggest Treatment For Partial Hearing Loss

Hello Sir, I have hearing loss problem. Doctor said that I may need surgery to repair the ear drum. Doctor said that as time goes on your another ear hearing loss will happen. I have historical ear discharge problem in my childhood. I am 28 year old. Is is it possible to keep my current hearing strength without surgery ?
