Hello,
Thank you for asking at HCM.
I carefully read your question and understand the concern.
There are 2 main things that I am thinking. The most likely cause of it is a yeast infection. It might cause red, itchy area and sometimes white thick secretions. A more rare cause but simingly uncomfortable is local
allergy reaction.
there are a few things I would recommend:
1. Make sure you do not use detergents or other chemical locally- they might cause irritation and local reaction
2. wash only with warm water and nothing else
3. local cream for candida. Sometimes you can find combination of antifungal (which helps with yeast infection) with a mild
steroid (which helps with edema and allergy).
4. If you use the combination of anitfungal and steroid cream you will use it thin layer locally twice a day for a week. Do not use the steroid in the area for longer than a week.
5. if no improvement in 4-5 days or any worsening you will need to see a doctor
Hope this is helpful and answers to your question
Best regards
